She was placed 3rd in the Sky Sports Amateur Jockeys’ H., Windsor (19/10/20), her most recent start
P2P.ie Review: Saratoga Lass won the very first race of the new Irish point-to-point season with a winning debut at Ballingarry in late September. Representing handler Kieran Roche who also introduced the now Listed Hurdle winner Silver Forever to make a winning debut in a four-year-old mares’ maiden, this youngster kickstarted back-to-back successes in the age group for her sire Valirann who then went on to sire a second four-year-old winner eight days later at Monksgrange, when she ran out a one and a-half length victor. Showing plenty of speed when making her decisive move for the winning post approaching the home bend, she very quickly opened up an advantage suggesting that she has all the pace to be effective over shorter trips when making the move to the racecourse.
P2P.ie Review: Dare To Begin bounced back to the form which had seen him finish a close third at Portrush in October 2019 when he returned at Monksgrange on the second weekend of the new season. Enjoying the prevailing Good ground, the Recital gelding was patiently ridden in a contrast to the tactics which had been employed on his two previous outings, and with a strong tempo having been set, that decision was rewarded as he finished with particular purpose to win a shade snugly by a length and a half in the quickest time of the afternoon. That time was nine seconds quicker than the day’s average and notably some 22 seconds faster than the other division of the five-year-old geldings’ maiden. Jetoile has since confirmed the form, as having finished third to Dare To Begin here, he looked booked to go one place better the following weekend at Toomebridge only to fall at the final fence.
