P2P Review - Frere D’Armes is from the family of a number of multiple track winners including Rouge Et Blanc, and he came close to becoming a maiden winner himself when re-appearing at Oldcastle on the opening day of the season where it is worth noting that his rider carried 4lbs overweight. Having travelled notably well through the race, he held every chance jumping the last, and it was only a horse who had previously finished placed in a four-year-old maiden that was able to get the better of him with the third having also previously made the frame as they pulled 11 lengths clear of their rivals. That was a very fine effort in defeat.
