P2P Review - Things had not gone to plan for Escapeandevade throughout his debut season with four non-completions in a seven-week period, however those runs were not without promise, particularly at Fairyhouse when he was still very much in contention when coming down at the penultimate fence. A return this season saw him fulfil that promise as he came from off the pace to finish a fine second at Castletown-Geoghegan at the beginning of the month. The form is also notable given that the winner, who beat him by just over two lengths, came into the race with three previous placed performances over hurdles, including when denied by just a head in a maiden hurdle on its most recent run. That adds particular credibility to the performance produced.
