Always close to the pace, tracking the eventual winner Nelson’s Rock, he held every chance after the second-last as the front pair began to dominate, and it was only when he was slower away than Nelsons Rock from the last, that he lost on his chance of a maiden victory in what was an improvement on his opening efforts.
