Court Cave is a sire that has been making waves with his four-year-old point-to-pointers in recent times, and Caspers Court is the latest of his pointing winners that heads to the sales, this one following a comprehensive 15-length victory at Kinsale on the final weekend of the season. Showing the clear benefit for his introductory effort at Inch, the grey gelding always travelled well at Kinsale just over a month later, when his rider, Jamie Scallan, made a purposeful move to make use of his staying power at the bypassed fourth-last, to take up the initiative and kick-on. He soon burned off all bar one rival with the move, and rounding the home bend, it was only the favourite who could maintain any sort of contact with him, and even at that, he was never given the opportunity to land any meaningful challenge. Only ever having to be pushed out hands and heels, he was a very comfortable winner by the line.
