P2P.ie Review: Look To The West carved out a smart reputation for herself when she recorded an emphatic ten-length victory at Dromahane just last Sunday. The Westerner mare had already caught the eye when her connections elected to pitch her in against geldings at Lingstown for her debut last month, and it was no ordinary maiden that she contested in very testing conditions for her introduction. That was evident by three four-year-old maiden winners already emerging from the race, and Look To The West more acquitted herself in that company. Making much of the running, she was still very much in contention when coming down at the final fence. The tactics remained unchanged on her return to action as she made all at Dromahane, jumping just as well as she had done on debut, to easily come out on top on extensively watered holding ground. Not only did she record such a wide-margin success at the same venue that Champion Hurdler Honeysuckle also opened her account, but she did so in the quickest time on the card, 11 seconds quicker than the geldings equivalent.
