Review: The first lot into the ring, Put The Kettle On has been no stranger to firsts in her illustrious career on the track: the first mare in history to win the Queen Mother Champion Chase, the first mare since Analog’s Daughter to win the Arkle Challenge Trophy and the only mare alive to have won an open Grade 1 Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. The daughter of Stowaway also numbers victories in Cheltenham’s Grade 2 Schloer Chase on an impressive race record.
Still only an eight year old, Put The Kettle On is one of the most exciting broodmare prospects ever to be offered for sale at public auction. 
The last word should perhaps be left to her regular rider Aidan Coleman, who had this to say following their famous success in the Champion Chase: “If you could bottle what she has I would never have to ride again because I could sell it. I'd be a rich man”.
